Week 489
Positive Post Sunday, July 12, 2026…. Week 489. As written in the Gospel of John, historically, many humans have loved and praised man more than they praised God. Unfortunately, based on our current culture, this appears to have continued throughout history.
Fortunately, there are many who choose to “look up” to the One who leads, guides, and anchors us rather than left or right for their praise and guidance. For me, my decisions are not informed by culture trends, pressure, or politics. My decisions are informed by my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is the One who directs my steps, shapes my character, and defines my path. Looking up shows me the way of grace, truth, humility, and courage, and helps me reject anything that drags my heart away from Him. When I lift my eyes upward, I find clarity. When I listen for His voice, I find wisdom. When I follow His way, I find peace.
My faith isn’t a compartment within my life; it’s the compass that guides my life. It shapes how I speak, how I serve, how I respond and how I love. It steadies me when the world pulls in opposite directions. It reminds me that my identity isn’t found in sides, labels, or noise, but in how I respond to one simple, yet profound question as I live my daily life, “Lord, will this honor You?”
How do you “look up” for praise and guidance?
How do you respond in a way the honors our Lord?
