Week 94
Positive post Sunday, December 2, 2018- Week 94.
We all lead such busy lives, but sometimes you just need to take a break and spend time with your loved ones. Well, that’s just what I did these past few days. Michele and I spent “quality family time” with our daughter, Heather, and her beautiful family.
Heather and Ryan Stinson invited us to join them and a few of their friends and their families on a road trip to Williams, Arizona where we rode the famous Polar Express with 3 of our grandchildren Sean, Chad and Aubrey. What a magical experience, watching them sip hot chocolate in their PJs while peeking through the window looking for Santa Claus and his elves as we rode the train to the North Pole. And then, seeing their glowing faces when Santa made his grand appearance on the train bringing bells for everyone, simply priceless! And if that wasn’t enough, our perfect evening ended with a light dusting of snow.
Our quality family time did not end there. The next day we bundled up and drove to one of the great wonders on earth, the Grand Canyon. Seeing the Grand Canyon from Mather Point Lookout on the South Rim through the clouds while being dusted with snow and eating lunch at the historic El Tovar Lodge with family was yet another amazing experience.
What a special way to begin our Christmas season, and a white one at that! Thank you, Heather and Ryan, for including us and creating this special family experience we will always cherish. We are so proud of you and your beautiful family.
They say that a picture is worth a thousand words. Take a look at these pictures, I think they are priceless. Thank you Lord for this special family time!
