Week 93

Positive post Sunday, November 25, 2018- Week 93.

Have you ever experienced a random act of Godliness?  You know, that time a person mysteriously showed up to help you during a crisis in your life, or that time you were searching for meaning in your life or questioning your faith and someone was there to guide you.  I’m sure if we all took a moment of reflection, we would come up with many random acts of Godliness we have experienced in our lives.  I have thought a lot about the many acts of Godliness I have experienced in my life and have come to the conclusion that they are not random at all, but rather God working directly through others to help me in times of need or to remind me to rejoice and celebrate during times of happiness or when I reach milestones or achieve goals in my life.

It is my hope that this Positive Post Sunday helps you reflect on the acts of Godliness you have experienced in your lives and encourages you to give thanks to those whom God has worked through to help you navigate through those tough times and rejoice and celebrate the good times.

One of my favorite prayers is the prayer of St. Francis of Assisi:  Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy.  O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; FOR IT IS IN GIVING THAT WE RECEIVE; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

This prayer reminds me to not only thank the many people who have performed acts of Godliness in my life, but also to continue to perform acts of Godliness for others, “FOR IT IS IN GIVING THAT WE RECEIVE”.

For those who care to join me in making a difference in the lives of others, here is a list I found of 20 things Godly Christians do every day that you may find helpful.  https://www.bibletruths.org/20-things-godly-christians-do-every-day/
