Week 486
Positive Post Sunday, June 21, 2026…. Week 486. Enduring suffering for the sake of what is good is never wasted; it is the quiet echo of Christ’s own path. Jesus absorbed every insult, every wound, every injustice, and chose love over retaliation and obedience over ease.
When we bear hardship for righteousness, when we refuse to answer insult with insult, or compromise what is good for what is comfortable, we participate in His way of redeeming love. Our suffering becomes seed: planted in faith, watered by grace, and grown into a witness that goodness is stronger than cruelty, and love stronger than every blow the world can deliver.
1 Peter 2:20-25 – But what credit is there if you are patient when beaten for doing wrong? But if you are patient when you suffer for doing what is good, this is a grace before God. For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example that you should follow in his footsteps. “He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth.” When he was insulted, he returned no insult; when he suffered, he did not threaten; instead, he handed himself over to the one who judges justly. He himself bore our sins in his body upon the cross, so that, free from sin, we might live for righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. For you had gone astray like sheep, but you have now returned to the shepherd and guardian of your souls.
How do you endure the suffering when you are doing good?
How do you respond to insults? Like Jesus did?
