Week 491
Positive Post Sunday, July 26, 2026…. Week 491.
Be Transformed, not Rescued
The Gospel of John reminds us that approaching God with a mercenary heart, coming to Him only when we need something, does not glorify Him. Our prayers should not be seen as transactions and God’s grace as a commodity. God loves us far too much to leave us where we are. His desire is not to simply rescue us in moments of crisis, but to transform us in our ordinary rhythm of daily faithfulness.
Grace is not magic and discipleship is not convenience. We must humble our hearts and welcome God’s grace even when it stretches us, challenges us, or interrupts our plans. A faith that calls on God only in moments of trouble misses the deeper growth that comes from steady, everyday trust. On the other hand, a heart that seeks Him consistently, in gratitude, in surrender, in trust, becomes a heart that is shaped, strengthened, and renewed, a true and faithful disciple.
God’s love is constant. Our faith in Him must be as well.
How do you seek God’s guidance with a humble heart?
How is your faith as consistent as God’s love for you?
