Week 88
Positive post Sunday, October 21, 2018- Week 88.
You may be familiar with one of my favorite scripture passages, Joshua 24:15, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”, which we have proudly displayed in our living room. This past week we were blessed once again to serve the Lord at Mass. Michele and I were Eucharistic Ministers and the kids were altar servers. We like to call it our family Mass when we all serve together.
We all have many opportunities to serve the Lord in our communities and in our lives and thank God so many people do step forward and volunteer. Could you imagine what our communities would look like if there were not any volunteers? Just think about that for a minute. Who would govern our cities, who would lead the many important commissions, how would our churches function, could we even have a Mass, who would coach all our kids? Sometimes we forget how much work in our communities gets done through volunteerism.
Serving in our communities is serving the Lord. How do you and your house serve the Lord?
