Week 61
Positive post Sunday, April, 15, 2018- Week 61.
Have you ever asked yourself, “who are my TRUE friends”? You know, those friends who will always be there for you in good times and bad times. In addition to my best friend Michele Lomen Rendler, my parents Dana and Ken Rendler and the rest of my family, all of whom I consider TRUE friends, I would like to recognize a few other TRUE friends, Harry Sullivan and Jim Reed.
I looked up the definition of friendship and found, “a relationship between people who like each other and enjoy each other’s company. An example of friendship is when you have a buddy with whom you like to do things”.
Harry, anyone who says they would take a bullet for you and really means it is a TRUE friend. You are not only a friend but a mentor both personally and professionally. I continue to learn so much from you. We share the same beliefs, values and love of family, and I am grateful for your friendship. And, for the record, I would also take a bullet for you! I love you buddy!
Jim, as the matriarch of our cycling crew, you are an inspiration to all of us on the bike, even though you got that darn e-bike, LOL! Now, climbing those hills is a lot more work for all of us. You have heard me tell many professional cyclists, “it’s not only what you do on the bike that’s important, but what you do off the bike as well”. Although I fully enjoy our time riding, what I value even more is your friendship and what you have taught me off the bike. In addition to learning a great deal from you through or many business and cycling related ventures, you have also taught me the importance of fairness and generosity to others. You are a TRUE friend!
To my friends, who are the TRUE friends in your life?
