Short version published
Happy New Year!
The older I get, the faster time seems to fly, and that reminds me how precious each moment truly is. None of us is guaranteed tomorrow and, for many of us, the years ahead are surely fewer than the years behind. But instead of stirring fear, this truth draws me closer to the God who holds every moment in His hands.
Strength, success, and good intentions fade, but a life rooted in Him endures. When God is our anchor, and we His apprentices, each day, however many remain, gains purpose, clarity, and peace. We can’t slow time, but we can choose to walk closely with the One who prepares us not just for the year ahead, but for eternity.
How do you make every moment a gift from God, an invitation to slow your heart, even when the calendar refuses to?
How do you spend your precious time as an apprentice of our Lord?

Happy New Year!
As I reflect on the passing of time, I’ve noticed something: the older I get, the faster the years seem to fly. Yet even in this quickening pace, I’m reminded that every moment is a gift from God—an invitation to slow our hearts, even when the calendar refuses to.
One truth becomes clearer with each passing year: the years ahead are fewer than the years behind. That reality could stir fear, but instead it draws me closer to the One who holds every moment in His hands. The older I grow, the more I realize that strength, success, and even our best intentions are not enough to sustain us. What truly matters, what truly lasts, is our relationship with God.
Having God at the center of our lives isn’t just a comfort; it’s an anchor. It’s the difference between drifting through time and being guided through it. When we walk with God, our days, however many remain, gain purpose, clarity, and peace. Each sunrise becomes a gift, each conversation a grace, each challenge an invitation to trust. And as our earthly time shortens, our eternal hope grows stronger. God doesn’t simply prepare us for the years ahead; He prepares us for forever.
So, while we cannot control how quickly time moves, we can choose how deeply we root ourselves in the One who transcends time. Life becomes richer, steadier, and more meaningful when God is not an afterthought but our foundation. And when our final tomorrow comes, we will meet it not with fear, but with the confidence of a heart that has walked closely with Him.
