Week 459
Positive Post Sunday, December 14, 2025…. Week 459. At our recent Church Ministry Fair, Michele and I felt a gentle yet unmistakable call to expand our service as Eucharistic Ministers by bringing the Body of Christ to those unable to gather at Mass. This ministry has already become a sacred extension of the altar, reaching into places where hearts ache for His presence.
On my very first home visit, I was invited into the home with a family member suffering from cancer. What unfolded was not simply a ritual, but a holy encounter. As we shared the Eucharist, Christ Himself entered that home, transforming it into a sanctuary of grace. After our closing prayer, the family invited me to join in their cherished tradition, the recitation of The Serenity Prayer. In that moment, voices united, faith intertwined, and heaven seemed to draw near.
I felt the unmistakable presence of God, reminding me that His grace flows not only within the walls of the church but also into the homes and hearts of those who seek His comfort and peace. The Eucharist became a bridge between suffering and hope, between earthly trials and eternal promise. Truly, His peace is a gift that sanctifies every space where love and prayer abide.
How do you serve within your church and your faith community?
Where have you seen the presence of our Lord outside of church and in your daily life?
