Week 457

Positive Post Sunday, November 30, 2025…. Week 457.  Though I’ve always cherished the tactile joy of reading a physical book, the gentle rhythm of turning pages, the satisfying scratch of a highlighter marking words that stir the soul, I finally surrendered and bought a Kindle. The first book I recently downloaded and read was Go to Heaven by Fulton Sheen, a brilliant work that offers one of the most profound distinctions I’ve ever encountered between pain and sacrifice. In chapter 10, Sheen writes: “Then will come to us the vision of the difference between pain and sacrifice. Pain is sacrifice without love. Sacrifice is pain with love.” That single line reframed my understanding. In it, Sheen unveils a truth that pierces through suffering with divine clarity: when love is present, pain becomes redemptive. And with that insight, we begin to grasp why God, in His mercy, did not shield us from the consequences of sin, but instead invites us to transform pain into sacrificial love.

I wholeheartedly encourage you to read this book. It’s rich with insights that illuminate our journey toward eternal life, offering guidance and grace as we follow the spiritual road map set before us by our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

How do you accept God’s love, turning Pain into sacrifice, seeking redemption?

What steps have you taken to strengthen your road map to eternity?
