Week 443

Positive Post Sunday, August24, 2025…. Week 443.  In a world full of distractions, conflicting values, and relentless noise, living a life guided by faith and from the heart can feel like swimming upstream. The pressures of productivity, the lure of instant gratification, and the subtle erosion of truth in our culture all conspire to pull us away from that quiet, sacred center where God speaks to us.

Jesus knew this tension well. In Matthew 6:21, He reminds us, “For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.” This verse is a compass. It asks us to examine what we truly value, what we give our time, attention, and affection to. If our treasure is in material, earthly things, our heart will drift like a ship without an anchor. However, if our treasure is invested in the pursuit of everlasting life through love, service, and truth, our hearts will stay secure, even in the roughest of seas.

When our hearts are centered on God, decisions become less about control and more about surrender. We begin to ask not “What do I want?” but “What is God inviting me into?” Whether we’re choosing how to serve our community, crafting a reflection that uplifts others, or simply deciding how to spend a quiet afternoon, our heart becomes a compass, pointing toward love, integrity, and purpose.

Here are a few areas I am working on to lead by faith and with my heart during my daily life:

Discernment in Action: Pause before reacting, asking whether my response reflects the fruits of the Spirit—love, patience, kindness.

Service with Intention: Not just volunteering, but showing up with my whole heart, believing that every act of service builds His Kingdom.

Where is your treasure, and therefore your heart?

What areas are you working on to lead by faith and with your heart during your daily life?
