Week 427
Positive Post Sunday, May 4, 2025…. Week 427. I’ve been praying and reflecting on our loss of Pope Francis on April 21st. Below is a prayer for those like me who are grieving his loss, grateful for his spiritual leadership and praying for the Conclave of Cardinals who will gather to select our next Pope.
Heavenly Father,
We come before You with heavy hearts, mourning the loss of Pope Francis, a shepherd who led with humility, compassion, and unwavering faith. We thank You for the gift of his life, for his tireless dedication to the Church, and for the love he showed to all Your children, especially the marginalized and the forgotten.
Lord, we ask that You welcome him into Your eternal embrace, granting him the peace and joy of Your heavenly kingdom. May his legacy of mercy, justice, and hope continue to inspire us to live as true disciples of Christ.
For those of us who grieve, we pray for Your comfort and strength. Surround us with Your love and remind us of the hope we have in the resurrection. May we find solace in the unity of our faith community and in the knowledge that Pope Francis now rests in Your presence.
Guide the Church in this time of transition, Lord, and bless those who will carry forward the mission of spreading Your Gospel. May we honor Pope Francis’s memory by living lives of service, kindness, and faithfulness.
Lord, please also guide the Conclave of Cardinals who will gather to select our next Pope.
