Week 358
Positive post Sunday, January 7, 2024- Week 358.
Now that we’ve survived the holidays, made all our New Year’s resolutions and possibly showed up for the annual visit to the gym, we can settle down and focus on 2024. The Chinese New Year, which begins on February 10, 2024, is the year of the Wooden Dragon. The dragon represents authority, prosperity and good fortune while wood represents evolution, improvement and abundance.
Speaking of good fortune and improvement, I received a very special and personal gift from my daughter Alison and her family for which I am grateful beyond words. Thanks to the countless hours Alison spent in front of her computer, I am deeply humbled to announce that I now have a platform to house and share all, that’s right all 358 so far, of my weekly Doses of Positivity. Although I have much to learn to navigate and edit the contents of the domain, adding photos, updating and integrating the Triangle of Life and making it more user friendly, all my positive posts are now available at www.positivepostsunday.com.
In the future, guided by God our Father, I also plan to use this platform for blogs and interactive communications with others who share my passion for Faith, Family and Fitness. This thoughtful gift from my daughter, along with the encouragement and support from a few of my trusted mentors and authors, who like me are servants of our Lord, has also motivated me to start the journey of writing my book. I plan to take an unconventional approach and seek input, engaging others in sharing positivity, through social media. Stay tuned for more to come!
In Acts 20:35, Paul states “In every way I have shown you that by hard work of that sort we must help the weak, and keep in mind the words of the Lord Jesus who himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” Although I certainly agree with this scripture and personally prefer to give rather than receive, receiving this gift has provided me a platform to expand and broaden my giving to others through the power of positive, spiritual and family friendly writing.
Whether you celebrate the Chinese New Year, Lunar New Year or New Year’s Day, how will you spread good fortune and help develop others?
How have you taken a gift you have received and leveraged it to give to others?
