Week 357
Positive post Sunday, December 31, 2023- Week 357.
I realize it’s not true, but it sure feels like the clock spins faster and the days get shorter the older you get. 2023 will come to a close this evening and it seems like it just started. I’ll spare you the long list of New Year’s resolutions, but I am looking forward to a deeper, more faith filled year in 2024.
One of my main focuses in 2024 will be on advancing my service to others. And, to that point, I’m excited about launching Bridge of Grace, a nonprofit being led by Founder and Executive Director, Jay McCall. Jay is a childhood friend, and author of Jeremiah’s Angel, a terrific book for children of all ages. Through the grace of God, we were reunited and, in His name, brought back together to join forces in service to others. I’m grateful for our Lord reconnecting us and energized to advance our visions for Bridge of Grace and The Triangle of Life: Faith, Family and Fitness.
I’m honored and blessed to be called by God to be on Jay’s Board of Directors for Bridge of Grace. Our mission is to inspire and encourage young people to write stories and poetry as well as create artwork to be published and shared with senior citizens, many of whom battle illness and loneliness. Our mission includes promoting the arts to children, to create a bridge between youth and the elderly, to bring much-needed joy to seniors and to honor God with our efforts.
I can’t wait to see where God guides us in our efforts to bring our youth and seniors together, educating our youth with the experience and wisdom of our seniors and bringing new energy, purpose and joy to our seniors. We welcome the support and prayers from all those who might have a passion for connecting our youth and seniors through the arts. Let me know if you would like to learn more and support our mission as we empower youth to engage with seniors. Stay tuned for more information in the coming months.
Happy New Year!
How will you increase your service to others in 2024?
How do you support and connect our youth and seniors?
