Week 353
Positive post Sunday, December 3, 2023- Week 353.
It’s amazing how frequently God communicates with us each day. All we have to do is listen and see with open hearts and souls. Here’s yet another example. Last week, I rode my NordicTrack with iFIT trainer Gideon (Gibbs Hill Lighthouse Interval Ride, Bermuda for my iFIT friends). At the end of the ride, in front of the iconic Gibbs Hill lighthouse, Gideon gave the history of this lighthouse, noting that all lighthouses are there to help protect boats and ships during times of darkness and turbulent weather. As I was cooling down from my ride, I couldn’t help but reflect on how many times our Lord has been there to guide me through those dark and turbulent times in my life. We should all “Let Jesus be our lighthouse”.
Although I was not able to find a specific reference to a “lighthouse” in the Holy Bible, the concept of light as a symbol of hope and guidance is prevalent throughout the Holy Bible. As we navigate the seas we call life, us believers, see Jesus as our lighthouse, illuminating our path and serving as a beacon of hope and strength. Jesus’ light shines bright and is powerful and transformative, guiding us and directing our paths. We are all called to live lives like Jesus, shining His light throughout the world proclaiming His Word.
