Subscribing to Pure Flix has been one of the best investments we have made. Last night Michele and I had the rare occurrence of being home alone in the early evening, so we decided to turn on our trusted Pure Flix and find a movie to watch. As we were surfing through the movies, the movie The Perfect Wave caught my eye, so we decided to watch it. What a blessing.
Those who like surfing will enjoy this movie and the amazing waves, but more importantly, those that are not certain about the existence of God will be deeply moved by this movie which is based on a true story. A rebellious and faithless young man leaves his family to go on a surfing safari. When pronounced dead after an accident, he’s faced with a choice: remain in the eternal afterlife or return and share his experience with the world. During his struggle for life, he recalled the words his mother said to him at an early age, “No matter how far you might be from God, no matter what you’ve done wrong, if you call out to Him from your heart, He will forgive you.” Very powerful words that remind us all of the abundant mercy our Lord has for us and the importance of paying it forward by forgiving those who have wronged us.
