Week 324
Positive post Sunday, May 14, 2023- Week 324.
While doing my research for last week’s PPS on quotes and sayings, I came across a song that is way more powerful than one of the sayings I used, “Words can be empty”. It’s a deep and meaningful song by Lindy Cofer titled, “Empty Words”. Here is the link to the song: Empty Words – Lindy Cofer Lyrics and Chords | Worship Together. A very thoughtful and thought-provoking song and easy to listen to. I encourage you to listen to it and read the lyrics.
I found the first 3 lines in the chorus, “We’re not satisfied with empty words, Not satisfied with playing church, We want a real encounter”, to say it all. What a powerful song the cuts to the heart of our faith. I’ll keep this week’s PPS short so you can take the time to click on the link and listen to the whole song and read the lyrics. Like me, you might find this to be the calling to look beyond weekly church to a greater encounter with our Lord.
