Week 322
Positive post Sunday, April 30, 2023- Week 322.
I don’t recall where I heard or read it, but the statement, “It’s not all about me; I am all about God” really resonates with me. In this high-paced, self-serving world we live in, it’s easy to get caught up in ourselves and the material things like money or being popular or any of those other things the world thinks are important and lose sight of our Lord and savior.
In Matthew 22:36-40, the Lord reminds us of the importance of staying focused and grounded in our faith by loving Him and our neighbor. Loving the Lord with all our hearts, with all our souls, and with all our minds seems simple, but it’s our actions that show how well we follow this, our first commandment.
Equally, if we believe that we are all created in the likeness of the Lord, then how we treat each other, or love our neighbor as ourselves, is also a sign of our love of our Lord.

It’s a very thoughtful and reflective video and a good reminder to focus on Jesus our savior not ourselves. As Jesus said in Luke 9:23 – Then he said to all, “If anyone wishes to come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”
