Positive post Sunday, April 2, 2023…. Week 318.
Like me, I suspect many of you have and continue to set goals you aspire to achieve. Some goals may be personal while others professional. Some, like winning a competition, are short term while others, like finishing a multi-year project, are long term.
What about a “life goal”? Have you ever set a life goal? There is much written about life goals, including suggestions on the ultimate goal of human life, or lists of the most popular life goals like falling in love, being happy or writing a book. Well, call me an overachiever since I have already fallen in love, I’m living a very happy and blessed life and I’ve started writing my book. However, those are not my “life” goals. I have one true life goal. My one and only life goal is to get to heaven!
There is an article titled, “Heaven is Our Goal” by Cougan Collins – It’s a thoughtful article that reminds us CHRISTians that our main goal in life should be getting to heaven, and how challenging it is to live a life that leads us through those narrow gates to eternity. Collins shares many verses from the Bible, my favorite being, Matthew 6:19-21. Treasure in Heaven: 19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and decay destroy, and thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor decay destroys, nor thieves break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.
