Week 286
Positive post Sunday, August 14, 2022- Week 286.
Last week I wrote about the importance of spiritual wealth as a path to everlasting life. This week, and next week, I am highlighting the critical role time plays in our pursuit of spiritual wealth.
Achieving spiritual wealth does not happen overnight, it takes time and requires growth through thoughtful prayer, service to others and humility. There is no spiritual inheritance or lottery to play that can help us achieve instant spiritual wealth. Rather than thinking our “Time is money” we would benefit from behaviors that recognize our “Time is limited”, at least here on earth.
Time is one thing we cannot buy more of, yet like money, our time must be managed well to achieve spiritual growth and prevent moral bankruptcy. It is my belief that, how we spend our time gives insight into our values and ultimately shapes who we are. I strive to spend my time within the Triangle of Life – Faith, Family and Fitness. The following link shares a perspective on why our time is so important, including taking time to focus on our own needs. Next week I will share a few additional articles on spiritual growth and time, recognizing how God uses our life experiences to help use mature spiritually. All we have to do is listen!
Here is a link to an article titled, “15 truths about the value of time” by Rebecca.
