Week 131
Positive post Sunday, August 18, 2019- Week 131.
Have you ever been told you need to “Let go” or “Move on”? Those that know me well, know that I have a hard time letting go and always want to fix everything. It must be the Engineer in me. I was reminded of this while listening to Fr. Erik’s sermon at church last week which was focused on letting go and forgiveness. I was “listening” intently (practicing last week’s PPS) and his sermon really made me think. As painful as it is, I have come to the realization that I can’t fix everything. There are somethings in our lives we just need to put in God’s hands and have faith that the outcome will be according to his plan for us.
I feel it’s important to mention that putting our lives in God’s hands doesn’t mean we don’t have any responsibility or that we can just sit back and let life happen to us. We are still accountable for our actions and how we live our lives. We make decisions every day and have endless opportunities to be Christlike and have a positive impact on the lives of others.
With faith and through prayer, all things are possible, but not necessarily easy. Things don’t always work out the way we plan, but through the grace of God, they always work out just how they were meant to be.
Are there things in your life that you need to let go of and put in God’s hands? When you do, will you remain accountable and aspire to be Christlike?
