Week 117
Positive post Sunday, May 12, 2019- Week 117.
Have you ever been to Mass, a lecture or a training and felt like the priest, professor or trainer was speaking directly to you and only you. Somehow, they knew exactly what you were going through, and the message was tailored just for you and at just the right time. Well, that was the case for me at Mass last night. Fr. Erik’s sermon focused on not letting anyone take your joy and the importance of sharing your joy freely with others and it felt as if he was speaking directly to me. Some may see this as a coincidence, but I see it as the good Lord watching over his flock, always knowing the right time to send a message and provide guidance. All we need to do is listen with open hearts and minds.
We all face challenging experiences, some life changing, and people who can take our joy and peace away, replacing them with negativity and disruption. These life experiences and difficult people, who can make it very hard to feel joy or peace, offer us all a real opportunity to help others. Share your joy freely and unconditionally with others. Be the shining light who helps others find meaning and purpose in the most difficult times. God has a plan for all of us and, although at times it may not be clear, with faith we can all find joy and peace in our lives as we continue our journey to everlasting life.
Where in your life can you be the beacon of light, the bearer of joy and peace for those in need?
