Week 319
Positive post Sunday, April 9, 2023- Week 319.
He has risen, Alleluia, Alleluia! A very Happy Easter Sunday to my family, friends, and Christians throughout the world.
Here are two scriptures that are the foundation of my faith:
1 Corinthians 15:3-4, (3) For I handed on to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures; (4) that he was buried; that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures.
John 11:25, Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live.”
Jesus willingly accepted and experienced incomprehensible pain and suffering to fulfill his Father’s will. I am deeply humbled, eternally grateful and feel truly blessed that our savior loved us so much that he gave his own earthly life, opening the gates of Heaven for all of us unworthy sinners.
When I experience sorrow or tragedy in my life, as painful as it can be, I choose not to ask, “why God?” but rather to continue to trust and believe in God and the Resurrection, even in my most challenging moments. Knowing He has a plan for me, including carrying my own cross at times throughout my life, deepens my faith and helps me understand my purpose and journey here on earth, while looking beyond my limited time here to those open gates of Heaven and eternal life.
I praise you Lord Jesus, for you have rescued me and now sit at the right hand of the Father.
How do you respond to the crosses you carry in this life?
How do you praise the Lord for rescuing you?
