Week 300
Positive post Sunday, November 27, 2022- Week 300.
300!!! As the saying goes, “time flies when you’re having fun”, or my version, “Time flies when you’re serving the Lord”. It’s hard to believe that, with the Lord’s guidance, I have been writing my PPS posts for 300 consecutive weeks, except for 3 weeks when my Dad, and daughter Alison (PPS 189), daughter Kristy (PPS 190) and sister Karen (PPS 191) stepped in and wrote PPSs to keep the tradition going when I was in the hospital recovering from my bike accident (seems to be a common theme this time of year
). I just reread their thoughtful and gracious posts. The Lord clearly continued his work through their words while I was out.
I started my PPSs with this simple message on Sunday, February 17, 2017: “I’m starting a Sunday tradition of posting a positive message each week”, with the attached quote from Walt Disney, “If you believe in something, believe in it all the way.” As I reflect on my past 299 PPSs, I humbly submit that I have followed Mr. Disney’s advice, with God as my guide, and faith as my foundation, I have believed in the power of spreading positivity and hope “all the way”.
I pray that my journey of writing PPSs each week has made an impact on the lives of those who have taken the time to read them, bringing them closer to the Lord. I’m excited to see where He leads me as I continue to pursue my passion for writing and proclaiming His Word! Perhaps I’ll write the next 300 PPSs or pause and write a book or start a nonprofit. Who knows (Jay McCall would remind me that God knows – so good to see you Jay), I might do all three as I look forward to retirement in a few years.
I can’t think of a better way to cap this 300th edition of my PPS than to write about one of the legs of my Triangle of Life, Family. Michele and I are so blessed and thankful to have traveled to Idaho with 3 of our grandchildren this past week to visit 2 of our daughters and 5 of our grandchildren who recently moved there. For a brief time, we had 3 of our 5 kids and 9 of our 12 grandchidlren together sharing a meal. I pray for the day that through the grace of God our entire family will be together. A photo of our full family is on my bucket list!
Michele and I look forward to seeing Tracy Junker Frey, Roger Frey and their family next trip.
Although I can write about family forever, as they say a picture is worth a thousand words, and we took many of them. A few are attached.
What do you believe in all the way?
How are you living a life that is consistent with the belief?
