Week 277
Positive post Sunday, June 12, 2022- Week 277.
I’m sure you have heard, or said, “Time Flies” many times. Well, it certainly has for me. It seems like just yesterday that I was baptizing our two LITTLE angels and praying they would survive a very early birth and asking the good Lord to let us see them grow up. Our prayers have once again been answered and grown up they have. From the beautiful babies dressed in white with red petals all around, to riding their bikes down State Street during the Redlands Bicycle Classic, to their first day of 1st grade at McKinley, to their 1st Communions, to becoming alter servers and this list goes on.
Fast forward to April 30th of this year when Kendall and Nikole went to their high school prom and this past Wednesday when, through the grace of God, we watched them walk across the stage at the Redlands Bowl receiving their Redlands High School diplomas from my favorite RUSD Board member, Michele…. Time sure does fly!!! They will both be attending California Baptist University in a few months and I’m sure, in the blink of an eye, we’ll be back at a graduation, this time a college graduation. Go Lancers!!
Kendall and Nikole (our million-dollar angels),
It was by the grace of God that you entered this world on August 13, 2004. You have beaten the odds in so many ways and you have now graduated from high school, earning scholarships to help with your college expenses. We are so proud of you! It has been our honor and privilege to be your guardians as well as your grandparents and we are grateful for all our family and friends (many tagged on this PPS) who have prayed for you and supported you during your life journeys thus far. Our reward has been seeing you grow into beautiful and faithful young women with your own unique and special talents and qualities. Our gift to you is the foundation of Faith, Family and Fitness that will continue to guide and support you throughout the rest of your lives. Our prayers and support will always be with you as you continue to pursue your dreams.
Love,
Mommom and Papa
Guardians, what shadow are you casting on those you care for? Are you good role models, leading faith filled lives with strong family values?
Graduates, as you transition to the next stage in your life, how will your faith guide you and ultimately define who you are?
