Week 268
Positive post Sunday, April 10, 2022- Week 268.
You have likely heard or said, “I need to recharge, my batteries are running low”. Or in my world, “I need to refuel my engine with clean fuels like renewable natural gas or hydrogen”. Ok, I’ll move on from the clean energy commercial.
Well, we also need to recharge or refuel our spiritual engines, and that’s exactly what Michele and I did last Sunday night. We went to the MercyMe concert in Ontario and were energized by the music and moved by the lyrics. We were inspired by the uplifting and thoughtful faith-based experience, and we listened to the good Lord speak to us throughout the concert. Several songs made me reflect on my life journey as well as look forward with purpose. This concert topped off my spiritual tank with renewable energy (we can always watch the videos and listen to the lyrics when we need that boost).
My favorite MercyMe songs have been “I can only imagine” (great movie!) and “Flawless” but hearing and watching the video of “Almost Home” really hit home for me. It made me reflect on my life, all the way from my younger years to now, and my many life experiences along the way. Like all of us, I have certainly had my challenges, but I have and continue to be blessed to live a life filled with Faith, Family and Fitness. Although at this stage in my life, one might think I am “almost home” 
, I continue to have high energy and have so much more service to give and life to live. That being said, only God knows when we will be called home and when he calls me, I will be ready. “I can only imagine” what my eyes would see when Your face is before me!
