Week 176
Positive post Sunday, July 5, 2020- Week 176.
Does anyone out there feel a little stress these days? Yes, this is a rhetorical question with all that is happening around us and in the world today.
Considering this is a POSITIVE post, I set out on a mission to gain insight and wisdom on how we can channel our stress in a positive way. After sifting through all the research and data, trying not to create my own stress, I came across an article I find very useful.
One of my favorite monthly reads is call Granted, by Adam Grant, a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. In his July edition titled, You’re Stressed Because You Care and you Might be Working Too Much, Grant shares an article by Kari Leibowitz and Alia Crum titled, In Stressful Times, Make Stress Work for You. Here is the link: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/01/well/mind/coronavirus-stress-management-anxiety-psychology.html.
I strongly encourage you to read this brief and insightful article. Leibowitz and Crum note that research shows we can actually use stress to improve our health and well-being and they share 3 simple yet impactful steps that will make stress work positively for you.
How are you channeling your stress to improve your health and wellbeing?
