Week 129

Positive post Sunday, August 4, 2019- Week 129.

Have you wondered what your purpose in life is, or why God put you here on earth?  These are normal questions that most of us have contemplated at some point in our lives, perhaps you’re thinking about this now.  Some are blessed with a clear understanding of their purpose, or mission, early in life.  Others, like me, have needed time to experience some of life’s journey to uncover, or discover, what the good Lord had planned for us.  Still others may spend a lifetime searching for the true purpose or meaning in their lives.

It’s often through our darkest days and deepest challenges, when we’re navigating the rockiest of roads, that we find our “true” purpose and meaning in life, and what a beautiful feeling it is when you discover your purpose and the plan the good Lord has for you.  Through prayer and God’s good graces, and with a humble heart, we can all find our “true” purpose and live a meaningful life during our limited time here on earth.

Below is an insightful letter from Farnam Street Brain Food #327 written by Hunter S. Thompson at the young age of 22 in 1958.  The focus of Hunter’s letter is on finding your purpose and living a meaningful life.  It was written in response to a friend who asked him for life advise.  A bit long, but worth the read.

Do you know your purpose in life, the plan God has crafted just for you?  If so, fulfill your purpose with passion and energy.  If not, pray and ask God for guidance.  We all have a purpose here on earth that offers us a path to everlasting life.
