Week 121
Positive post Sunday, June 9, 2019- Week 121.
You might not be a country music fan but you may have heard the theme song from the movie Urban Cowboy, “Looking For Love” by Johnny Lee. Not the most reverent of movies, or one you would take the kids to see, but the theme of the movie, which is based on one line from the song, is noble. The line is, “Looking for love in all the wrong places” and the theme is centered around a couple who go their separate ways searching for love in all the wrong places, and ultimately get back together with an even stronger bond.
Yes, a classic movie theme, but one that reminds me of a few things. First, where we look for love makes a difference and will ultimately determine our success in finding true and sustainable love. And secondly, sometimes in our quest for love, we fail to see it right in front of us and in our everyday lives. Like most, I have and will continue to face many challenges in my life, but this far I am so blessed to have found love in all the right places with my faith, family and friends.
Have you been searching for love in all the wrong places? If so, change where you’re looking! Where in your life is love right in front of you and you may not even realize it? Embrace and cultivate it, you may be amazed at how it grows.
