Week 119

Positive post Sunday, May 26, 2019- Week 119 (Special Edition). 

Those who have been following my Positive Post Sundays know that, supported by a foundation of Faith, there is nothing more important to me than my Family, and that includes many of you.  Like all families, our family has created many traditions, like going to Balboa Island and Campland on Mission Bay.  We have also celebrated many milestones including weddings, births and celebrations of life to name a few.  

Well, our family now has one more special date to celebrate, May 18, 2019, the day that Matthew Joseph Wilson proposed to our youngest daughter Kristy Michele Rendler and of course she said YAAASSS!  As an added blessing, we were able to share this family milestone with our son Jeff Rendler who was in town from North Carolina for just a few hours during a layover while traveling to training for the Army.  This was a very special day for our family indeed.

I’ll save the speech for the upcoming wedding but let me say that words simply can’t express how proud I am of both Kristy and Matt.  They have both grown so much over these past few years, graduating from college and securing jobs with very promising futures.  

I am also very grateful and thankful for the support they have both provided Michele and I as we have been raising 3 of our grandchildren, Kendall, Nicole and Christian over the past several years.  They have made many sacrifices and regularly put the needs of the kids ahead of their own personal needs without ever complaining.  

Although he is already a part of our family, Michele and I are very pleased to officially welcome Matt into our family and we know he will continue to treat our youngest daughter, the baby of our family who we love very much, with dignity and respect.  We are grateful to Matt’s parents Carrie and Mike Wilson for raising such a fine young man.  We pray that Kristy and Matt continue to grow in faith, which is the foundation of our marriage and the legacy we hope to leave with our children and their families.

Michele and I are so blessed and we’re so happy for Kristy and Matt.  The good Lord did well in bringing the two of them together.
