Week 477

Positive Post Sunday, April 19, 2026…. Week 477.  Every day we are surrounded by good things; beauty, comfort, relationships, achievements, even ministry itself. These are gifts from God. But gifts were never meant to become gods we worship.

Creation can inspire us, move us, and point our hearts upward, but it can never satisfy the place in us that belongs only to the One who created it.

When our worship drifts toward what is created, like our work, our possessions, our routines, and our own strength, we shrink our souls by focusing on these temporary things. But when we turn our eyes back on the Creator, everything finds its proper place. Joy deepens. Gratitude grows. Purpose sharpens.

Worship is not just expressed in chanting or song; it is a daily re-centering of ourselves. A quiet declaration:

“My heart belongs to the Giver, not the gifts.”

May we live with open hands and lifted eyes, honoring the One who spoke all things into being, and who alone is worthy of our praise.

How do you worship the creator not what He has created?

How do you appreciate, and express gratitude for, the many gifts our Lord has provided us?
